Hardwood Classic Final Four set

Prospect (9-1) vs. Libertyville (7-3); Deerfield (9-1) vs. St. Viator (11-2);
these semifinal marquee matchups will be played Wednesday at the 32nd Annual Hardwood Classic at Wheeling High School.
Prospect rolled past Naperville Central 62-43 in the first quarterfinal led by the LaTulip backcourt brothers, Joe and Mike. Sophomore Mike scored 19 points and senior Joe scored 18 to pace the Knights to an easy quarterfinal victory.
Libertyville was led by 6-foot-3 senior F Billy Meyer, who scored 36 points to lead the Wildcats past Notre Dame
69-64.
Deerfield beat Vernon Hills 60-54 behind 33 points from 6-foot-8 Duje Dukan. The Warriors outscored Vernon Hills 17-6 in the final stanza.
In the final quarterfinal of the night, St. Viator edged Stevenson 58-56 in overtime. Six-foot-4 sophomore C Chris Myjak's controversial putback bucket at the buzzer punched the Lions' ticket to the semifinals.
In consolation action Tuesday: Lake Park beat host Wheeling 45-34; Niles North defeated Carmel 68-50; Loyola trounced Kenwood 51-21; and Streamwood edged Maine West 45-42.
