Glenbard E. romps No. 7 Neuqua V. for title

Glenbard East junior guard Zach Miller exploded for 26 points to lead Glenbard East to a 81-63 romp over No. 7 Neuqua Valley Saturday night in the championship game.
After scoring four points at the half, Miller added 14 third-quarter points for the Rams, who outscored Neuqua Valley 25-13. The third quarter scoring barrage gave East a 54-41 lead with one quarter to go.
Miller added four assists and four steals.
Glenbard East (11-1) received additional suppport from all-tournament selections 6-foot-3 junior F Jon Hill (17 points, seven rebounds), and 6-foot-7 senior Lee Skinner (16 points, eight rebounds).
Neuqua Valley (10-1) was led by 6-foot-5 senior C Kareem Amedu, who scored all 17 of his points in the second half. St. Louis U.-bound Dwayne Evans was held to 12 points. Evans and senior G Rahjan Mohammed (nine points) were all-tournament selections for the Wildcats.
Fremd beats Auburn 66-55 for third place
Fremd (11-1) brought home the third-place trophy,with a 66-55 victory over Auburn.The Vikings were led by all-tournament selection 6-foot-4 F Chris Klimek, who poured in 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
The Vikings received a supurb all-around game from junior G Zach Monaghan who had 10 points, five assists and four crucial steals. Monaghan also garnered all-tournament accolades.
Auburn (9-4) was led by a 24-point performance from senior Joe Danforth.
Hoffman beats Meadows in OT
Hoffman Estates (8-5) finished fifth with a 52-45 overtime win over Mid-Suburban League rival Rolling Meadows (5-7).
The Hawks were led by senior G Jimmy Fabrini who scored 12 of his game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Hoffman senior G Kevin Tiongson, an all-tournament selection, contributed eight points.
Rolling Meadows (5-7) was led by senior G Tyler Allen, who scored 13 points. Mustang all-tournament selection Richie Kemph scored six points.
In other action: Batavia (8-4) defeated Highland Park (5-7) 59-46 to win the consolation championship; Buffalo Grove (8-4) beat Larkin (7-6) for seventh place; 11th place went to Wheaton North (6-5) after a 76-66 win over Glenbrook
South (3-10); Willowbrook (6-8) defeated host Elgin (3-9) 52-48 to take 13th place; Guilford (4-8) defeated Dundee-Crown (1-9) for the 15th spot in the tournament.
